I recently returned to America after teaching in Japan for a year, which was all kinds of awesome! I would have probably stayed longer if not for the fact that my father passed away right before I left, and because of that, my mother became pretty lonely while I was away. So yeah, part of me wanted to come back so I could be closer to her for a while, and I suppose Japan's terrible idea of "pizza" was one of the other reasons.
