This lovely flour sack dish towel was first gently tie-dyed, and then batiked (lines, or star orbits, if you will, were applied with hot wax by hand using a tool called a tjanting) and then was dyed again. The towel is colorfast and will withstand machine washing and drying. There is one little crazy intense blue spot that either happened because one dye bath wasn't mixed well enough, or it came into contact during an initial washing with my toddler batik buffalo shirt (also on etsy!) in the wash, I can't remember which Anyway, it can either be viewed as an imperfection, or a little supernova in the galaxy. It can also be the first little bloop on the towel, inviting other stains to join the galaxy and create new little planets The towel measures 22x28 inches. Dish towels are always great hostess or housewarming gifts
