The outdoors are where its at for me, whether it's out sailing and diving on the ocean, or up in the Northwoods, surrounded by forest and lakes and moose and loons. The two greatest feelings I know of in this world is sailing, at night, in a calm steady warm breeze, or that feeling from hearing a distant loon call from across the lake on a crisp chill Northwoods evening. Both experiences are best shared. I have canoed Hudson Bay under blazing sky-filling aurora borealis while beluga whales sang their song to me, and I have sailed through hurricanes on the Gulf of Mexico, struggling to find safe harbor. Fortunately I am a tad less extreme now as I was in my youth, but I think you get the picture. I have lived in the Florida Keys for the last twenty years working, among other things, as a bartender, scuba-dive instructor, dive boat captain, and most recently as the owner/captain of a parasail charter business operating out of Marathon in the Middle Keys.
