Well, technically, I won't have my degree in-hand until December; a mix-up with the graduation office left me 2.5 credits shy of my degree this year. I try not to get too upset about that, and am just looking forward to being done with school and starting a career. Because of this transitionary period, though, I really don't know where I'll be and what I'll be doing in six months. I may be working at a business here in Dubuque, I may be working for a huge publisher out in New York, or I may be working for someone I completely didn't expect. If I have my druthers, I'd like to end up on the west coast of the US, preferably in a city like San Francisco, Portland, or Seattle. Still, I'll be happy wherever I end up, I think. It would be nice to meet someone who has similar interests but also it would be nice to do some different things. Most of my time is spent at work and when not working I have 3 wonderful girls who are very involved in sports and school. When I have time by myself its nice to go to the YMCA, out to dinner, work in the yard etc. Going to Colorado hiking is my passion as well as running. I wouldn't turn down a trip to a beach, however. That was because my father attended the University of Chicago when he was working on his internship in Radiology. Grew up in Dubuque, Iowa if you have ever heard of the place. Small and very Catholic old river town in which I was raised but soon rejected philosophically before fifth grade though still going to Nativity grade school. I have lived in Utah since 84 after moving from Houston. I am drug and disease free. Very rarely drink but not dogmatically opposed to it. Not wanting to portray an image that isn't true I do not always eat the healthiest or exercise like I used to. My habits of life change from time to time. Hopefully, I am in the process of resurrecting some of the good ones. Cooking is another skill I choose to exhibit when I am cooking for someone else. My favorite is Italian, Chinese, Lobster Newburg or crab and corn chowder but good at most anything. I do have a fondness for experimenting with deserts such as lemon blueberry cheesecake or something else off the cuff.
