Hello there! My name is Kristin and I am currently a junior, majoring in history, at University of Washington. I have a true passion for explaining concepts/ideas to others, and plan on achieving my Masters In Teaching after i finish my Bachelor's degree. My ultimate goal in life is to become a High School history teacher. I graduated from Lake Washington High School (Kirkland) in 2007. During my junior and senior years at LW, I received college credit as a Running Start Student at Bellevue Community College. I began at UW in fall of 2007, and am currently am on the Dean's list, maintaining a GPA of roughly 3.6. In my spare time, I enjoy skateboarding, snowboarding, and playing the drums in a local band. I currently am a volunteer organizer for Seattle-based Skate Like a Girl which strives to build community and teach gals how to skateboard. I have worked with SLAG for almost 4 years, and have been skating for over 7.

Hello! My name is Rachel. I am 23 years old and from the North Hills area. Currently, I work as a medical assistant at a local orthopedic practice. However, I am eagerly awaiting the start of my medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in the summer of 2009. My goal is to become a dermatologist or emergency medicine physician. I did my undergraduate studies at Duquesne University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude. During my time at Duquesne, I was a teaching assistant for 4th year physician assistant students. I also worked as a tutor in the English department; however, I'd like to clarify that my expertise is in the sciences.
