Hello, my name is Mimi and I'm a student at Macalester College in St. Paul. I'm looking for work as a tutor to finance my dream trip to Thailand, to live and teach English. I have extensive experience working with school aged children as a child care provider and I'm currently working as a tutor and teacher's aide in a sixth-grade classroom at Linwood-Monroe Community School. I graduated last year from South High school in Minneapolis with a 3.7 GPA. I have always been a successful student but I understand the need for extra help from time to time. I have been a passionate reader, devouring all kinds of books, ever since I fell in love with Enid Blyton and the Far-Away Tree Stories when I was eight. Reading became a hobby, a passion, a flight of fancy, a trip to Fairy Land. Thus, I have decided to pursue literature and creative writing in not only my undergraduate studies, but also as a career since I believe one ought to only do what one is passionate about. Currently, I am doing my Bachelors from Augsburg College, Minneapolis, majoring in literature and creative writing, and minoring in psychology. My current CGPA is 4.0 and the high school equivalent of my result of 8 As in O Levels (British education system)is Honors. Because of my passion for English, writing, literature and the arts in general, I have always been very serious about my studies and work; thus, I am already a published writer with several poems and short stories in print.
