I have over a decade of performance and teaching experience! I currently live and work in New York City. I teach out of my rehearsal studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, or at YOUR HOUSE! I've performed and/or recorded with: Terrence Howard (actor/singer/songwriter), George Clinton (funk icon), Angelo Moore (lead singer of Fishbone), Eldar Djangirov (jazz pianist on Sony Records), Taylor Eigsti (jazz pianist on Concord Records), Christian Scott (trumpeter on Concord Records), amongst many, many others. I was recently featured on Terrence Howard's album, "Shine Through It" (Sony/BMG), which debuted at #31 on Billboard's top 200; and on Taylor Eigsti's album, "Let It Come To You" (Concord), which has received critical acclaim in the jazz world. I recently appeared with Terrence Howard on several nationally televised programs, including LATE NIGHT with DAVID LETTERMAN. As I look back to my own musical education, I realize how lucky I was to have such gifted and dedicated teachers in my life.

I formerly was in the business world in Charlotte, NC for almost 25 years. In February, 2008 I retired and have enrolled in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at UNCC; I have made grades of 100 on all but 2 of my assignments in my present courses. I am presently on the staff at the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Concord (which is operated by the NC Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention) where I coordinate the GED program for our students with Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Stonewall Jackson house over 90 teenage men who have been committed to our care for commission of violent felonies and drug related crimes. Our mission is to educate these young men and provide a positive adult influence and to encourage them to make better decisions than those which placed them in our care. I am a Laubach certifed reading tutor and received a GEM award (giving every minute) from our facility's director at our most recent staff appreciation day.
