Let me tell you about them. The brown one (photo'd) is 8 years old and was rescued from a farm. When I got her, she was covered in fleas and was very sickly. I nursed her to health and now she is a strapping 70 lb pup. Her name is Katie and she is my cutiepie so i call her "Katiepie." For whatever reason, Katie is terrified of kids---I'm thinking maybe the kids on the farm she grew up on were mean to her. My other dog, the black one, is Edison. I rescued Edison from the pound. Edison is part pit and mostly lab but 100% sweetie. I named him Edison after Thomas Edison, the famous inventor. It fits him! Despite being a dog rescuer, I could take them on more walks and socialize them more with other dogs. That is the one thing lacking in their lives. If you had a dog, maybe that could work.
