*Antique Rare Minihan Saddle* Beautiful Trapunto seat / wonderful vintage condition 1864 - 1926 This is a saddle I believe was made by Eugene Minihan of Owensville , Kentucky . He made just a few of these unique saddles with the double carved angels to commemorate the death of his young daughter . I have read there are some *Angel * saddles in a museum in Owensville , Kentucky . Eugene Minihan was credited with being the first saddler to devise the Kentucky Spring Seat for flexable comfort . He made saddles from 1864 to 1926 . There are several websites with his history of making these great saddles and how popular they became . I found this saddle many years ago and have done alot of research trying to find out as much as I could about it . It has a beautiful stitched trapunto seat with the two angels on each side .
