MikeAkaJB : New to Seattle (Plenty of Fish) About ME: I'm just another guy in the world browsing and looking for someone to enjoy life with. I consider myself relatively healthy as I play racquetball and enjoy tons of different physical activities. Experiences and memories are the spices of life. My family and friends matter the most to me. After graduating from law school in Kansas I decided to pick up and move to Seattle, WA because it was closer to home (home town: Anchorage, Alaska) and I needed a change in scenery. I just moved to Seattle May 2008 and currently am trying to find myself while exploring Seattle. The first few months I was studying for the bar and now I'm searching for a job which I find interesting that will provide unique challenges for me. In my spare time I like to play racquetball, running, rollerblading, watching movies, reading a good book, wasting time on the internet, or pretty much just trying new thing's that peak my interest. Currently I'm trying to learn how to play squash and get back into running shape. And that is true to my personality - I am a little quiet at first but once I get comfortable I am very open. I am an adventurer and love to try new things and as a result have amassed a horde of eclectic interests. It seems I find my balance by enjoying both sides of the spectrum. I practice yoga and meditate daily. I love watching the sunset over the Olympics & Sound, cooking a big bolognese while having a glass of delicious red and taking hour long bubble baths with my current book. I also equally adore going out for live music, art openings, provocative film, getting a little crazy and silly with my friends - the general debauch. I absolutely adore Seattle, salted caramel lattes at Cafe Fiore, walking in the rain through the sculpture park, the fact that there is great music to be heard almost every day of the week, being able to be in the mountains and on the water in the same weekend. What catches my interest are how God crafted awe-inspiring scenery, what's going on in the world, the wonders of our universe, mysteries of the Bible and weird possibilities in physics. It's fun to explore a visitor's center at a national park, stay home and catch a science show on TV or the radio and on road trips, discover a marker with a little bit of history. I'm often told I'm quiet. I tend to just listen when in groups and watch whatever is going on around me. When inspiration strikes, I'll toss in a quick one-liner. I'm the quiet one in the group that will suddenly get everyone cracking up when they least expect it. A great one-liner has a high laughter to word count ratio. I also enjoy trips to the city for the ballet, dining and shopping. I enjoy my job working with children, they let you see the world with fresh eyes. I am honest, hard working, a heck of a cook and I stay in pretty good shape. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs, but am not a goody-two-shoes. It would be great to go for a hike, horseback ride or puttin on a motorcycle. Food and films are also a blast. A dream date for me would start with a trip out to my favorite mushroom picking site(I can't tell you where or I'd have to kill you) then stop by for a soak in the hot springs, then on to Seattle for an Italian dinner and wrap it up with tickets to the ballet.
